Afgelopen weekend werden de Academy Awards, beter bekend als de Oscars uitgereikt. Het was de vierennegentigste keer dat Hollywoods meest prestigieuse prijzen werden uitgereikt. Hier vind je de Oscarwinnaars van 2022 op een rij.
Er was een aantal opvallende winnaars bij de Oscars van 2022. Zo ging de prijs voor beste film naar CODA. Het was voor het eerst dat een film van een streamingdienst (Apple TV+, in dit geval) deze prijs won.
De grootste winnaar was Dune, Denis Villeneuve’s verfilming van het gelijknamige boek. Deze film won maar liefst zes Oscars, waaronder die voor beste cinematografie en beste originele muziek.
Power of the Dog was ooit favoriet om best Picture te winnen. Dat gebeurde niet, maar Jane Campion, de regisseur van de film won in de categorie voor beste regisseur. Beste acteur en beste actrice gingen naar Will Smith (die ook voor verbazing zorgde na het slaan van Chris Rock) en Jessica Chastain voor hun rollen in respectievelijk King Richard en The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
