God of War III komt officieel naar de PlayStation 3

God of War 1 en 2 waren ongeëvenaarde successen, de games perste het laatste beetje kracht uit de Playstation 2.

Sony Computer Entertainment liet vandaag weten dat God of War III naar de Playstation 3 komt. Het spel zal 1080p HD ondersteunen, ook de Sixaxis zal niet ontbreken. Het nieuwe deel uit de zéér populaire franchize zal doorgaan waar GoW 2 stopte.

Cory Barlog liet al een keer het één en ander los op de launchparty van GoW 2, daar zei hij het volgende:

"If we were to do a God of War III on the PS3, we're excited about the potential--maybe, no commitment, no announcement or anything like that--to maybe have [God of War hero] Kratos in 1080p with the Sixaxis and vibration. Vibration is coming back to the PS3, that's pretty cool, huh?"

Vermoedelijk komt de game ergens in 2009 uit. Natuurlijk houden wij je op de hoogte over verdere ontwikkelingen.
